Transport box for 15 Stielhandgranaten 24 with inner transport rack,
reused during WW2 for transport of the Nebelhandgranate 39.
Manufactured by
C. Beutemüller u. Co. GmbH, Metallwarenfabrik, Bretten, Baden in 1938
(the company logo is both stamped into the metal and painted). The
inside has the details of contents for the initial use painted on. The
outside has received a white line to denote smoke, and the paper-label
on top is the same that can be found on the heads of the
Nebelhandgranate ("Lebensgefahr beim Abbrennen in geschlossenen
Räumen", Life at risk if burned in confined spaces). Fair
condition, rare item. $ 450,-
